The Voice Research Laboratory provides a unique environment for training in research related to both voice and face preferences.

Graduate Students will design, run, analyze, and write-up research projects that encompass a wide diversity of disciplines including:
- Evolutionary Psychology
- Evolutionary Biology
- Evolutionary Anthropology
- Acoustic Phonetics
- Voice Perception
- Face Perception
Current research topics include:
- Exploring the relationships between vocal and facial attractiveness
- Individual differences in preferences
- Physical and social cues to attractiveness
- Acoustic predictors of voice attributes
- Learning and mate preferences
Students are encouraged to think about research projects that are related to the above-noted areas. Novel ideas outside of these areas are also encouraged.
